What is the Episcopal Church?
The Episcopal Church is part of the Anglican Communion. Our tradition is a blending of protestant and catholic Christianity in which Christians of either tradition may find a home where each tradition enriches and fulfills the other.
What is the faith of the Church?
The faith taught by Episcopalians in none other than the Christian faith, no more and no less. Christian doctrine must conform to three criteria: Scripture, Tradition and Reason. Especially important to Episcopalians is Holy Scripture and “to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.” (Micah 6:8b)
